Despite 2018 Astana Declaration placing integrated delivery primary care and public services across sectors, a framework that explores in relation to remains unexplored. aim determine relevant evidence gaps building capacity supportive housing-health research about chronic diseases multimorbidity, identify ongoing strains offer potential solutions. Methods An integrative review conducted through multiple systematic searches electronic databases. We employed an interdisciplinary approach integrating several fields -built environment, clinical human physiology, environmental health, services- around illness multimorbidity understand depth scope linkages. Inductive content analysis used describe emerging domains from meeting inclusion criteria. Results defined multifaceted with priority eight blocks for action: 1) expanding model into setting; 2) scaling up determinants cover residential spaces; 3) implementing acute methodologies indoor environment risk assessment; 4) increasing applicability built studies; 5) recognizing conditions-promoting inflammation physiology; 6) qualifying reliable surrogate disease biomarkers monitoring; 7) enforcing technologies new forms outpatient care; 8) renewing evidence-based healthcare design. Conclusions Future needs prioritise articulating these insights systematic, translational multisectoral approaches strengthen design solutions people living morbidity. Key messages Integrating future interventions may promote transformative changes programmes engaging patients.
